Bianca and Alexey

Bianca and Alexey met with me a while before their wedding day and after listening to their excitement I was looking forward to the day even more.

They chose to get married at De Ouwe Klok in Stellenbosch. It is lovely venue that really showcases the beauty of the area. The couple had told me how important the landscapes were to them so we spent some time shooting wide shots to capture the mountains which Bianca said “make her happy”!

The ceremony took place under the trees and was a lovely mixture of laughter and tears. They chose two readings that were unusual but suited them so well, a sonnet by William Shakespeare and piece by Roald Dahl. Bianca’s nervous excitement showed when she dropped Alexey’s ring and it fell between the slats of the platform they were standing on!! I know it will be a moment they will never forget!!

A family style buffet was served during their dinner reception followed by a gorgeous first dance. Bianca and Alexey both take dancing lessons and I could see how comfortable and happy they were to be in each other’s arms on the dance floor.

To end the evening off we had a little bit of fun with sparklers out in the dark, thank you to my assistant Jo for running up and down with sparklers to try and get the right shot!!

Thank you to Bianca and Alexey for having me there to capture your special day, I had such a wonderful time with you both. Lots of laughs and special moments I will always remember. I wish you all the love and happiness together.
